Below are the area where changes has been made as compare to its previous version-

(1)New Controls-DataGrid,Calendar and DatePicker.

(2)Visual State Manager:-The VisualStateManager class and supporting classes have been added to used tools such as Microsoft Expression Blend.

(3)Touch and Manipulation:-WPF now accept touch input.

(4)Graphics and Animations:-Lots of changes has been done in graphics and animations and also some new concept

included in this area.

(5)Text:-Lots of changes has been done in text area.

(6)Binding:-Various changes and enhancements have been made related to binding.

(7)XAML Browser Applications:-Two features have been added to XAML browser applications.

(8)WPF and Windows:-WPF dialog boxes on Windows 7 and Windows Vista now support the look and feel of the Windows 7 and Windows Vista style.

(9)WPF and Silverlight Designer:-Various designer improvements have been made to help create WPF or Silverlight applications.
